Dhiraj Tak, Founder and Owner of Kavira Creations in Udaipur, greets the audience with warmth and humility, introducing himself as a Green Building Consultant. He says that today’s discussion is dedicated to the youth, focusing on a subject that he considers deeply important—having a goal. To make the idea clear, he chooses to explain it through a story.
He asks the audience to imagine a large commercial airplane, a heavy and powerful aircraft with an engine so strong that it can pull a person standing eight to ten feet away. This engine, he says, is capable of generating immense thrust, and the plane is equipped with thousands of liters of fuel, giving it the capacity to travel thousands of kilometers—enough to circle the entire earth. Yet, in this story, something goes wrong. As soon as the aircraft takes off, its display system gets damaged. With the display gone, it loses its ability to navigate.
Now, despite having so much power and capacity, the plane no longer knows which direction to go or where it needs to reach. In such a situation, Dhiraj explains, the pilot’s first instinct is to keep the aircraft safe and secure. If the pilot sees a road, he may attempt to land there. If he sees water, he may try to land on water. The entire focus shifts from using the plane’s immense capabilities to simply finding a safe landing spot—any place that feels less risky.
Tak says this is exactly what happens to people in real life. Each of us has immense potential and boundless energy, but without a clear goal, we fail to channel our abilities toward something meaningful. Instead, we choose safety over ambition. We settle for whatever comes our way just to feel secure, without thinking about whether it truly aligns with what we want in life.
He elaborates further with an example from college life. When students reach the final year, companies come to conduct campus interviews. Some students get selected, and without questioning whether this job matches their own aspirations, they join the company and spend their entire careers working according to the company’s needs. They rarely pause to ask themselves—what do I truly want to do? Their entire life becomes an extension of whatever opportunity first appeared, just like the airplane that lands at the first safe spot instead of flying to its real destination.
Tak says that this habit of settling happens because, without a goal, our only instinct is to keep ourselves safe. We keep doing whatever comes our way, not realizing that with focus, we could achieve far greater things. He passionately urges every young person to have a goal, a fixed direction, and a clear milestone. Only then can they truly measure their progress and work toward something significant.
He emphasizes that if one has a goal and they work consistently toward it, there is no limit to what can be achieved. Just like that powerful aircraft, humans also possess extraordinary strength and capability—we have the potential to achieve victories that seem as vast as winning the whole world. But without a goal, all that energy gets diverted into merely surviving instead of thriving.
Kavira Creations Owner Dhiraj Tak concludes with an inspiring reminder: youth must decide their direction early, fix their milestone, and stay committed to it. Whatever they are doing in the present should ultimately lead them toward that destination.
Alongside this motivational appeal, he also shares about his YouTube channel, The Banyan Tree by Kavira, where he and his team talk about growth, leadership, management, and startups. He invites the audience to connect with the channel and be part of meaningful conversations that encourage personal and professional development.
